Livonia Parks and Recreation is excited to offer another fall season of T-Ball and Coach Pitch! 

Practices will start on May 4, practicing twice a week until scrimmages begin midway through the season. All practices take place at a ball diamond within city limits. No practices will run on May 25 due to Memorial Day. 

All participants must provide their own active attire, glove, and batting helmet. A hat and team jersey are included in registration and will be provided midway through the season. All participants must be the appropriate age by May 4, 2026.

volunteer coaches

We cannot run the T-Ball and Coach Pitch leagues without volunteer coaches. Coaches are provided with all information and equipment needed for each season at their coaches' meeting hosted by Livonia Parks & Recreation.

All volunteer coaches must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check and concussion training before being placed on a team. No past coaching or playing experience is required. If a parent, guardian, grandparent, etc., plans on helping at practices when they can, we encourage them to volunteer to coach. There are at least two coaches per team; the time commitment is three to five hours weekly.

Upon season completion, coaches shall receive a full refund of the registration fee for their registered dependent(s) or family members on the team(s) they are coaching, in addition to four free day passes to the Kirksey Recreation Center.

In the event Livonia Parks & Recreation does not have enough coaches for the registered participants, T-Ball and Coach Pitch teams will be formed using the following order based on the date/time of registration:

  1. Livonia Residents
  2. Livonia Public Schools/Clarenceville Students
  3. Non-Residents and Non-LPS/Clarenceville Students
