*Any ticket issued by Michigan State Police (MSP), Wayne County Sheriff's Department or Department of Natural Resources (DNR) must be processed using the 15 or more day link.

*If after 15 days please contact the court at (734) 466-2500 to confirm the amount due as late fees may apply.

Payments of fines and costs may be made by:

  • Cash
  • Check 
  • Make payable to 16th District Court.
  • Out of state checks are not accepted.
  • Money order 
  • Make payable to 16th District Court.
  • Visa, American Express, Mastercard, and Discover CardsCredit Card
    • Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted. 
    • Service Fee is a flat percentage rate of 3.5% for credit cards.  
    • Credit card payments can be made in person, or online.
    • An after-hours drop box is available 24 hours per day. It is located in the main lobby of the Livonia Police Department, 15050 Farmington Road, Livonia, MI 48154
      • Envelopes are provided. Cash deposits are not advised.

MCR 1.110 / COLLECTION OF FINES & COSTS

  • Fines, costs and other financial obligations imposed by the Court must be paid at the time of assessment, except when the Court allows otherwise, for good cause shown.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • The court accepts personal checks with proper identification.  The check must be issued from a Michigan bank, or credit union.
  • Bonds posted must be in cash, certified check or surety.
  • For setting aside default judgment on civil infractions, cash bond must be posted.
  • In person credit card payments must be accompanied by valid government issued identification.
  • For past due, suspended FAC/FCJ citations or for Probation Department payments; you must call the court to obtain the exact amount needed to clear your past due, suspended or probation matter.
