Road work hits Ann Arbor Trail (Newburgh to Eckles)
Ann Arbor Trail from Newburgh Road to Eckles is being resurfaced and repaired from July 8 through early September. Drivers should expect delays.
Both lanes will be open, with moving flaggers and signage, on the section between Ann Arbor Road and Eckles. Meanwhile, from Newburgh to Ann Arbor Road, traffic will be reduced to one lane in the eastbound direction first. Once the first stage is completed, traffic in this section will switch to westbound only.
This $825,000 road rehabilitation project consists of just under a mile of hot mix asphalt, cold milling and resurfacing, concrete pavement repair, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk and selective driveway improvements, including new pavement markings.
Cadillac Asphalt, LLC, is the contractor for this project; project manager is Philip Hamlin (248) 625-3161. OHM Advisors will be providing construction inspection services for the City of Livonia. Questions or concerns shall be directed to the City of Livonia Engineering Department at (734) 466-2571.
