Archery 101: The Basics

Archery 101 allows new and beginner archers, ages 8-12 to learn the basics of archery through instruction, drills, and activities. Topics include safety, bow types, and shooting techniques. Register today for the Saturday, October 5 class. Classes take place at the Livonia Archery Range, 37210 Glendale Street (between Farmington and Merriman Road south of I-96).

Harvest Hike & Hunt

Take time for a family hike at Rotary Park at the annual Harvest Hike & Hunt at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at Rotary Park (Six Mile and Hubbard). Families will enjoy a hike and scavenger hunt through the nature trails and create crafts with the items they find along the way. 
Tickets are $6 for Livonia residents, $9 for non-residents and can be purchased in advance online or at the Kirksey Recreation Center, 15100 Hubbard. 

Turkey Trot Runners

14th Annual Healthy Livonia Turkey Trot Nov. 2

Join your friends and neighbors at the 14th Annual Healthy Livonia Turkey Trot 5K at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, as we walk/run to help those less fortunate.  Profits and canned food donations will benefit the Livonia Goodfellows organization and Blessings in a Backpack Livonia. 
Register online or at the Kirksey Recreation Center, 15100 Hubbard. The $15 per person fee includes a Turkey Trot t-shirt, if registered by Oct. 21.
Last year the Turkey Trot had over 460 participants and resulted in hundreds of cans of food and raised approximately $3,000 to assist the Livonia Goodfellows in providing holiday meals for local families.
