Therapeutic Cardio Drumming

Join Wendy & Elone for a therapeutic/special needs drumming class on Friday, Jan. 25 at 5 p.m. for teens and adults 15 and over. Have fun drumming to your favorite tunes and hanging out with great people All abilities welcome. Registration recommended. Class is limited to 20 participants (bucket, drumsticks and stability ball provided). Drop-in accepted if buckets are available. Register at www.livoniaparks.org or at the Kirksey Recreation Center.

SUMMER PICNIC PAVILION RESERVATIONS

Picnic pavilion reservations for the 2019 season will be issued on a first come, first served basis for Livonia residents beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at the Jack E. Kirksey Recreation Center, 15100 Hubbard. Open dates will be available to both residents and non-residents beginning on Feb. 6 at the Kirksey Recreation Center and online at www.livoniaparks.org. Payment in full is due at the time of reservation. The Kirksey Recreation Center opens at 5 a.m.

Healthy Livonia's 100 Days to Health

It's not too late to register for Healthy Livonia’s 100 Days to Health at the Kirksey Recreation Center, 15100 Hubbard. The community wide event, which benefits the entire family for the first 100 days of 2019, is presented by Mercy Elite and sponsored in part by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Jimmy John’s, Nestle Water, Energetic Wellness Coaching, Sport and Spine Performance Institute, Lemongrass Spa and Time to Savor.
The program offers the opportunity to participate in a range of activities including exercise classes for all ages, nutrition and wellness seminars, rock climbing, free Friday workouts, open swim and more. Additionally, adults can take part in the 100 Day Weight Loss Fitness Challenge. Register for the Challenge and be eligible for monthly prizes.
