Last Chance to Register for Skyhawks Sports Academy Camp!

Let’s get the kids involved in trying multiple types of sports! The last of this summer's Skyhawks Sports Academy Camp is coming up on Monday-Friday, Aug. 14-18, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kirksey Recreation Center. Try out one of the many sports offered for ages 5-8.

The choices are soccer, capture the flag, kickball, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, and more. If you're interested, register here.

Step Back in Time this Summer

Learn some Hands on History of the 19th century from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at Greenmead Historical Park. Participants ages 9-12 will take part in a wide range of activities, such as cooking, games, farm skills and more! Learn how they lived back in the 19th century!

Register ahead of time. Cost is $35 per Livonia resident and $40 per non-resident.

The Tradition Continues with Tour de Livonia!

The second Tour de Livonia pays homage to the famous Tour de France with a pair of non-competitive rides through Livonia Sunday, Sept. 17. Both routes start and finish at Bicentennial Park. Helmets are required for all riders.

The 9 a.m. full-route (18-mile) participants must be ages 16+ and must be able to maintain 9-12 miles per hour while riding. $35 per rider by Aug. 30.

The 9:30 a.m. family-route (7-mile) participants can be all ages, but must be able to ride without training wheels and ride at least 5 miles per hour. $25 per rider by Aug. 30.

Early bird registration pricing until Aug. 30. The price will increase by $10 for both routes after Aug. 30. Onsite registration on the event day will cost $65/rider for the full route and $55/rider for the family route. You'll need to register by Aug. 31 to secure an event t-shirt.
