Meet the Staff, Try Out the Facility at Our New Year, New You Open House

It’s about to be a new year, so why not start working on a newer, healthier you now! Stop by the Kirksey Recreation Center noon-3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, to try out our facility – from the pools to the Fitness Hub, climbing wall, Tree Fort, gyms, walking track and more – and meet our staff – from personal trainers to group fitness instructors and a dietician – during our New Year, New You Open House.

The meet-and-greet runs from noon-3 p.m. with tons of informational stations, but Livonia residents can get into and use the facility for FREE from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Non-residents cost $5 per person.

100 Days to Health Kicks off Feb. 26

The Healthy Livonia 100 Days to Health is back! Registration is now open for the 100-day event that kicks off 9-11:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, with two educational seminars and a lot of free giveaways.

The event provides daily classes that participants (even nonmembers) can take along their 100-day health journey, concluding with the June 5 closing event.

This is a great chance to work on your health and get a taste of the Kirksey Recreation Center if you’re considering a full membership. The 100 Days to Health is open to all ages and fitness levels. Register here.

Limited Facility Hours This Weekend

With the turn of the new year, the Kirksey Recreation Center will have limited hours of 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. both Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 31-Jan. 1.

Wed, Dec. 28 – Deck the Rec Voting Deadline
Sat, Dec. 31 – 4-7 p.m. New Year's Eve Party
Sat-Sun, Dec. 31-Jan. 1 – 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kirksey Recreation Center limited hours
Mon, Jan. 2 – Winter I Classes Begin
Mon-Fri, Jan. 2-6 – 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Winter Camp Swoosh (sold out Jan. 3)

Fri, Jan. 6 – 5:30-9 p.m. Nerf Night
