Bow Hunting Safety Course Coming to Livonia Oct. 28-29

Learn archery hunting and safety while earning an International Bowhunter Education Program (IBEP) certificate by joining us for a Bow Hunter Education class Friday-Saturday, Oct. 28-29, at the Civic Park Senior Center. Students must attend both dates, 5-9:30 p.m. Oct. 28 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 29. Register at Michigan.storefront.kalkomey.com.

Test out your archery skills at the Livonia Archery Range before it closes for the season Nov. 20. Limited hours go into effect Nov. 5.

Craft Away with Secluded Saturdays at the Civic Park Senior Center

Are you looking for somewhere to hide out and work on your favorite craft? Are you looking to socialize with friends while crafting? Then join us 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, for our new monthly Secluded Saturdays “hidden” activity at the Civic Park Senior Center.

Bring your own supplies, but we’ll have the tables, chairs, morning coffee and doughnuts, and lunch, to help you bust through eight hours of pure crafting bliss. Check it out and register online. Ages 15 and older are welcome.

There's Fun for Fall Coming to Greenmead Nov. 5

Join us at Fun for Fall 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Greenmead Historical Park; a fun afternoon full of fall-themed stories, snacks and crafts in the Alexander Blue House.

For ages 4-10, but parents/guardians are requested to stay with their child(ren) during the event. Register here.

Call for Holiday Parade Groups

There may not be snow yet, but we’re already at work preparing for the Merry & Bright Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4. Save the date!

We are now looking for local groups - civic, school, scouts, etc. - to join the parade on a route from Frost Middle School to Livonia City Hall. Businesses can purchase a sponsorship to also participate. Interested groups should contact Billy at wkeppen@livonia.gov.
