Halloween Walk Strolls Back Through Greenmead Oct. 21-22

Trick or treat at the Greenmead Historical Park village houses during this family-friendly self-guided event. Costumes and flashlights are encouraged for the Shadows From the Past Halloween Walk. Refreshments will be available at the end of the tour.

Register in advance! Check-in times every 15 minutes from 5-7:30 p.m. both Friday-Saturday, Oct. 21-22.

Spooky Swim, Floating Pumpkins Splash Back to The Rec

Our annual spooktacular event is back 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Kirksey Recreation Center's Leisure Pool. Join us for a Spooky Swim full of crafts, games and a floating pumpkin patch to get you in the Halloween spirit.

Parents/guardians must accompany children ages 11 and younger and be within arms reach of non-swimmers. Only children need to be registered for the event. Register by Sept. 30 to ensure there’s a pumpkin in the floating pumpkin patch for you!

Haunted Barn Returns for Trio of October Weekends at Wilson Barn

Our Haunted Barn returns to Pumpkin Fest at The Wilson Barn noon-6 p.m. on Saturdays/Sundays, Oct. 15-16, 22-23 and 29-30. For just $1 per trip through the barn, this great-value scare features both friendly and scary monsters and ghosts that are great for all ages, but customizable depending on the age of those entering. No pre-registration required!

Donate Blood With American Red Cross Blood Drive

The need for blood donations is such a vital part of keeping medical facilities saving lives. The American Red Cross will be at the Kirksey Recreation Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, for a blood drive.

Those interested in donating can register online, call (800) RED-CROSS (733-2767) or sign up on a clipboard at the front desk.
