Senior Trunk-or-Treat Comes to Eddie Edgar Arena Friday

Last call for the Friday, Oct. 29, Senior Trunk-or-Treat event at Eddie Edgar Arena. Seniors (sorry, no grandchildren) are invited to a drive-through event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday where they drive from one Trunk-or-Treat vehicle to the next from the Stark entrance to the Lyndon exit of the ice arena parking lot. Register/pay in advance. Don’t forget to dress up in your best Halloween costume or themed apparel!

Turkey Trot Runs Through Bicentennial Nov. 6

Just 11 days until the Healthy Livonia Turkey Trot! Make sure to register in advance for this all-ages 5K walk/run 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Bicentennial Park.

Canned good donations are also being accepted at the race and will allow entry into a raffle for prizes donated by local businesses. All proceeds and canned food donations will benefit the Livonia Goodfellows in providing Livonia families in need with a Christmas dinner.

KidCreate Debuts With Holiday-Themed Crafts Nov. 15

Join KidCreate Studio's award-winning art classes and explore art in an environment full of giggles and grins. Kids will create fridge-worthy masterpieces while learning art concepts and experimenting with different art materials.

Our first workshop runs 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, as children ages 18 months-6 years create a Thanksgiving turkey-themed masterpiece at the Kirksey Recreation Center. Their next opportunity will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, with a Christmas-themed clay/paint ornament. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Register here for both workshops.
