MAC Gym Reopens in Time for Fall Programs to Begin

If you haven’t been by the MAC Gym at the Kirksey Recreation Center recently, swing by and check out the new flooring that was installed over the month of August. From pickleball to basketball, floor hockey, group fitness programs and more, the new flooring is ready to go! Check out the open gym schedule.

Our fall session of programs are getting underway all week starting today, Sept. 7. Sign up before things fill up. We have more than 70 group fitness classes and a variety of youth and adult programs that are a little lower key or unique. Check out our Snapology workshops, fencing, Archery 101, Zoom watercolor painting and more!

Cider, Doughnuts, Conversation and a Concert Thursday

Join us for a special sixth-annual Information and Ideas conversation from 5:30-6:50 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, on the Kirksey Recreation Center's east lawn before the Livonia Symphony Orchestra Brass and Percussion Ensemble presents their "Patriot and Pops" concert at 7 p.m. to wrap up this summer's Free Music Nights in Livonia series.

Go 'Back to the Future' Saturday

Join us for a free drive-in movie screening of "Back to the Future" Saturday, Sept. 11, at Ford Field. Parking spots are limited, so pre-register here. Parking opens at 6:45 p.m. for an 8:15 p.m. movie.

We’ll also be viewing “Jurassic World” 7:55 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, with parking opening at 6:15 p.m.
