Trio of Drive-In Movies Begin Aug. 28

Don't miss the chance to view some great films during our drive-in movie series Saturdays, Aug. 28, Sept. 11 and Sept. 25, at Ford Field. The events are free, but parking spots are limited, so pre-registration is required.

We’ll be viewing “Remember the Titans” 8:45 p.m. Aug. 28 to kick off the series, with parking opening at 7:15 p.m. "Back to the Future" and "Jurassic World" will follow on Sept. 11 and 25. Check the website for specific times.

Fall Classes Starting Sept. 7

There are just two weeks until fall classes begin! Make sure to head over to LivoniaParks.org to get registered for classes that begin as soon as Sept. 7. We have more than 70 classes for all ages and skill levels, including new senior group fitness classes, yoga options, wellness sessions, aquatics and more!

Michigan Hawks Launch Youth Academy for Girls Ages 5-9

If you’ve got an active 5-9-year-old girl, soccer may be the sport for them. They run, they kick, they can make friends for life. If you’re looking to have your daughter give it a try, consider joining the Livonia-based Michigan Hawks’ Youth Academy, designed as an introductory-level program for young girls who are new to the sport.

Registration is going on now at Hawks.soccer/youth-academy-2, with the fall session running seven 60-minute practices 5:15 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 8-Oct. 20, and seven 60-minute games 9 a.m. Saturdays, Sept. 11-Oct. 23, for $150 total. Registration is also available for two winter sessions at Total Sports Complex in Farmington and the spring session back at Jaycee Park. Those registering for all four sessions at once will receive a discount. Email youth@hawks.soccer for more information.
