Try Hockey for Free Aug. 11
If the Detroit Red Wings’ recent draft picks and trades have your hockey interest ready for the winter months, and you have a son or daughter between the ages of 4-12, why not have them give hockey a try? Join the Livonia Hockey Association
5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Eddie Edgar Ice Arena (33481 Lyndon) for a Try Hockey for Free event. Get on the ice, burn off some energy and see if there’s a new sport they’ll love. Skates and sticks will be available to borrow, but please bring your own helmet (bike helmets will work!). First-time players who register with the LHA for the fall season are eligible to receive a discount on a full equipment package for the coming season.
If they like the Try Hockey for Free event, but aren’t ready to dive into a fall season yet, give them a little more of a taste with Ready Set Play; a four-session series of 50-minute classes for $50. The four sessions will run
6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17; 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19; 6 p.m. Monday Aug. 23; and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25.
