Irish Rose Mini Tea Offers Tasty Treats Saturday

If you enjoy sipping tea, come sip some with us at the Irish Rose Mini Tea event Saturday, June 12, at Greenmead Historical Park.

There are three 30-minute time blocks available starting at 3 p.m. to stop in at the Alexander Blue House for a cup of traditional Irish tea, fresh-baked shortbread and some summer berries. Spaces are limited and advanced registration is required.

Snapology Camps Teach STEM Focus

We’re less than two weeks away from our first set of Snapology summer camps. The first week will feature a Minecraft camp from 9 a.m. to noon and an Animation Studio (Let’s Make a Movie) from 1-4 p.m.

Both camps run Monday-Thursday, June 21-24, at Greenmead Historical Park for ages 7-14. A full-day option is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. if you sign up for both camps and bring a lunch for the supervised hour break in between. Check out these Snapology camps and several others here. Register in person at the Kirksey Recreation Center for more than one Snapology camp and receive a $30 discount!

Try Challenge Fitness Class for FREE

We’ve got two more FREE Challenge Fitness classes coming up 7 p.m. each Wednesday June 9 and 16 at the Kirksey Recreation Center. No membership or advanced registration required. Just show up and participate!

Check out the video for a quick preview, as the class will run you through exercise drills using sandbags, large tractor tires, sledgehammers, water tubes, power wheels, battle ropes, TRX suspension systems, kettlebells and more!
