Adult Soccer Deadline Friday

The deadline to register for our 11v11 coed adult soccer league is creeping up Friday, April 16. This league will play games Thursday and Friday evenings from 6:15-8:30 p.m. at Bicentennial Park starting May 6 and run for eight weeks with three officials per game.

The $755 team fee (less than $70 per person!) includes referee fees and team jerseys (not just t-shirts!). Register as a team or as a free agent. Contact Ethan at eengel@livonia.gov with any questions.

We’re hiring summer camp counselors and supervisors, lifeguards, athletic site supervisors, both supervisors and front desk staff at the Kirksey Recreation Center, and more! Some roles are seasonal with the option of full-time hours, while others are part-time with the option to continue part-time beyond the summer if you’d like.

Virtual Presentation Visits Detroit's Jewish Heritage

Join us virtually on Tuesday, April 20, from 2-4 p.m. as Dr. Richard Colman presents the program "From Hastings to Home." Rick is a member of the Jewish Historical Society of Michigan. Take a trip back in time as we trace the history of early Jewish Detroit, from its origins in the 1760s to the birth of the baby-boom generation.

This presentation includes the seven-minute mini-documentary, “Life on Hastings Street." Advanced registration is required for this free event.
