100 Days to Health starts Feb. 28

It’s the new year, which means the popular 100 Days to Health program is on the horizon. However, the 2021 edition wants you to keep up any resolutions deeper into the year. We’re starting our 100 days with a Feb. 28 kickoff event and running (literally!) through June 6.

Kirksey Recreation Center membership is not required, nor is Livonia residency, to participate. Sign up and gain access to 100 days worth of group fitness classes, educational sessions, and live events geared toward helping you maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. Registration includes several items such as a towel, water bottle, a bag and more; further adding to the impressive value you receive for the number of activities you become enrolled in and gain access to.

Visit LivoniaParks.org to register starting Jan. 1 and keep up with all the latest activities. Participants from the 2020 event can receive a 30% discount, but must register in person to have it verified and applied. Use the #100DaysToHealthLivonia hashtag to share your journey on social media.

Winter Session Registration

Due to the Dec. 18 MDHHS order, only swim classes, synchro, and private lessons will begin the week of Jan. 4. All other programs will begin the week of Jan. 18 and run for the full number of planned weeks.

Parks and Recreation Winter Bingo

The kids are still on winter break and there's still a fun activity available for your entire household to fill your free time. Livonia Parks and Recreation Winter Bingo has a wide array of 25 activities – mostly outdoors – that we’d like to see photos and/or videos of your family participating in.

Complete multiple bingos to earn multiple entries between now and Jan. 10, and winners will be contacted the week of Jan. 11. Holiday Hours

The Jack E. Kirksey Recreation Center has limited hours from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

Greenmead Historical Park offices and the Civic Park Senior Center are both closed on both days.
