Winter Camp Swoosh Registering

Looking for child care for your 5-12 year olds during the schools’ holiday break? Winter Camp Swoosh at the Kirksey Recreation Center is here to save the day from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily Dec. 21-23 and Dec. 28-30.

Pick and choose just the days you need. Wear more winter apparel than those children pictured from the summer 2019 edition of the popular camp.

Cost is $36 per day for Kirksey Recreation Center members, $41 per day for Livonia residents and $46 per day for non-residents. You can register here via LivoniaParks.org.

Virtual Christmas Concert Dec. 13

Visit the Livonia Civic Chorus Facebook page 3 p.m. Dec. 13 to view and listen to the release of their “A Christmas Wish” virtual holiday concert. The performance link will also be viewable after the event’s launch to spread holiday cheer throughout the rest of the month.

NEW Synchronized Swimming

Just announced! We are now offering synchronized swim classes for the Winter I session running Sundays Jan. 10-Feb. 28. This new program will allow swimmers the ability to sync up for some choreographed fun. An intermediate class will run 9-10 a.m. for ages 9-13 and an advanced class from 9 a.m. to noon for ages 9-18. A novice class will be added in summer 2021.

For those interested in the winter programs, a skills test must be attended 1 p.m. Dec. 12 or Dec. 19 as a pre-requisite for the program. The advanced class also requires membership to a competitive synchronized swim team. Visit https://bit.ly/LivoniaParksSynchro for details or to register.
