The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) continues with the second year of the I-275 project. This year, crews will be rebuilding southbound I-275 from Six Mile Road to Northline Road with both directions of traffic on northbound side. There will also be bridge and ramp work on the southbound side.
The westbound Ann Arbor Road ramp to southbound I-275 will be closing Friday, March 18 or Saturday, March 19, depending on weather, and remain closed through late November. Westbound traffic will have access to southbound I-275 via the eastbound Ann Arbor Road ramp to southbound I-275. A temporary signal will be installed to allow a left-hand turn to the southbound ramp.
Northbound and southbound I-275 will have two lanes open between Northline Road and Six Mile Road. Northbound barrels will begin near Eureka Road while southbound barrels will begin near Seven Mile Road. All on and off-ramps will be accessible with median crossover ramps except when crews are working on specific ramps.
