Livonia Firefighters Local 1164 Scholarship

- Two $1,000 scholarships
- Available to any Livonia resident who is a graduating high school senior from any high school
- Requirements include:
- Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.5
- Two letters of recommendation (one teacher/counselor, one personal reference)
- 500-word essay describing how they have made a difference in their school or community.
- Students may attend any college, university, or trade school and choose any course of study

National Association of Black Suppliers

This organization provides scholarships to graduating African-American seniors who have outstanding academic and community leadership and who plan to enroll full-time in engineering, technology, business, health-care, or a related curriculum.
Scholarships are $5,000 per year for up to five years and can be used for tuition, room, board, and fees at a 4-year college or university of the awardee’s choice.
Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be United States citizens.

The application is available online at the National Association of Black Suppliers’ Scholarship page. The awards will be presented at a scholarship luncheon at the Dearborn Inn in Dearborn.
