Bicentennial Dog Park

Grand Opening April 21 at 11 a.m.! 

Welcome to the New Dog Park located in Bicentennial Park (Seven Mile and Wayne Road) 

Livonia residents with licensed dogs will be able to access the park for a $30 annual fee for the first dog and $10 for each additional dog.  There is a maximum of three dogs per household. Please note that fees must be paid by cash or check only. Checks must be made payable to the City of Livonia.

The dog park features waste stations, a doggie drinking fountain (available April-Sept.), benches, agility stations, areas designated for small and large dogs, as well as an open area to allow for rotation. 

How to Access the Dog Park 

To gain access to the Dog Park, complete the application and take it to the City Clerk (located at City Hall).  Please review the check list prior to going to City Hall to make you have all of the necessary documentation. 

Before your first trip to the Bicentennial Dog Park, we ask that you review the rules and regulations to make sure we are being safe and courteous to our fellow dogs and their owners. 

If for any reason, you experience a problem at the Bicentennial Dog Park, please follow our complaint process

Take Pride in Livonia Day

Saturday, May 5, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Join the many volunteers, civic organizations, scout or school groups, and the Livonia Parks and Recreation Department on Saturday, May 5 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for one day dedicated solely to take of care and preserve the beautiful parks right here in our own community.

Taking pride in Livonia is contagious and the benefits are endless! We’ll end the day with a picnic at Ford Field Baseball Diamond No.2 to thank everyone for their time and commitment. To be a part of this event, please contact us to register your group at 734-466-2900 or complete and email the Participant Form. 

Pavilion Rental 2018

Picnic pavilion reservations for the 2018 season will be issued on a first come, first served basis for Livonia residents beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at the Jack E. Kirksey Recreation Center, 15100 Hubbard.  Beginning Feb. 7, open dates will be available at the Kirksey Recreation Center.
